Siamak Mokhtarnejad

Siamak Mokhtarnejad, retired Associate Director of Gas at Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and Past President of Louisiana Gas Association (LGA), received the LGA 2016 Hall of Flame Award presented during LGA's Annual Operations Conference, October 24-26, 2016, in Baton Rouge, La. Mokhtarnejad is among an elite group of outstanding individuals who have been honored with this award because of their significant contributions to the success of the organization and its membership.
 
"I always looked up to Mac for his guidance whether in agreement or disagreement.  His opinions were always valued and will be missed" stated Robert Borne, fellow LGA Board Member and previous Hall of Flame recipient.
 
Mokhtarnejad worked for Gulf South Engineers as a Project Engineer for 14 years (1979-1993) prior to receiving his master's in Civil Engineering in 1994.  He worked for the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government for 23 years as the Associate Director of Gas and retired in 2016.  In 2008 he earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of New Orleans.  Mokhtarnejad has been a member of LGA for 20 years and has held the office of President (2010-2013), 1st Vice-President, Secretary, and Historian as well as chair of many committees including Pipeline Safety Conference Committee, Annual Convention Committee, Advisory Committee, and many more.
